The boybands, originally made famous during the 90s, shot back into the limelight on ITV’s The Big Reunion television programme will be joining forces on a significant UK tour early next year.  5ive, consisting of members Sean Conlon, Ritchie Neville and Scott Robinson, are known for their hits ‘Slam Dunk Da Funk’, ‘Keep On Movin’ and ‘When The Lights Go Out’. They won the Brit Award for Best Pop Act and also won MTV Europe Music Awards and Smash Hits Poll Winners Party titles. A1 are a British–Norwegian boy band that formed in 1998. In the UK, they scored two number ones and six other top 10 hits.

Damage are a British R&B band who achieved success in the 1990s with 11 hit singles, including four top 10 successes on the UK Singles Chart. They have sold 2.5 million records worldwide. 911, made up of Lee Brennan, Jimmy Constable and Simon "Spike" Dawbarn, were formed in 1995 and released their debut single ‘Night to Remember’ in May 1996.

Even before What’s Love Got To Do With It? , a celebration of the music of the legendary Tina Turner, makes its Hull debut next month Hull City Hall has announced that the show will return next year.


The show has proved such a hit with die-hard fans in the city that organisers have now scheduled a second date for Saturday 4 April, 2020 with tickets on sale now.  


From the award-winning producers behind the hugely successful Whitney - Queen Of The Night, What’s Love Got To Do With It?  is the ultimate tribute concert paying homage to one of the most iconic artists of the 20th Century. Award-winning producer Ellen Kent returns to Hull City Hall with two of the world’s best loved operas next year.

These two well-known works are a must for regular opera buffs and opera novices alike and features beautifully crafted sets, international soloists and a highly praised chorus.

La Bohème is one of the most romantic operas ever written. It tells the tragic tale of the doomed, consumptive Mimi and her love for a penniless writer. Set within the attics and backstreets of Bohemian Paris it reflects the art of the period and includes, a brass band, snow effects and Muzetta’s dog will also make an entrance.

This classic tale of Parisian love and loss features many famous arias including Your Tiny Hand is Frozen, They Call Me Mimi and Muzetta’s Waltz.

On 19 March Madama Butterfly returns in a new production boasting exquisite sets such as a spectacular Japanese garden and sumptuous costumes including antique wedding kimonos from Japan.

Following the incredible success of Strictly Come Dancing – The Professionals 2019 UK Tour – which saw almost 6,000 fans pack out the Bonus Arena – the tour will return to Hull in 2020 for a further two nights. Fans will be delighted to hear that some of their favourite professional dancers will again don their dancing shoes and return to Hull on 19 and 20 May 2020. Walk Right Back returns by popular demand on 19 April, 2020, and follows the brothers’ rise to fame from humble country beginnings to superstardom, through their decade-long feud to their glorious reunion which gave them back to each other, and back to the world.

Featuring hits such as Bye Bye Love, All I Have To Do Is Dream and Cathy’s Clown, this unique concert-based musical entwines the wonderful, sad yet glorious story of The Everly Brothers around those trademark “harmonies from heaven”.

The Drifters come to Hull City Hall on Saturday 6th June 2020


Legendary doo-wop and R&B group The Drifters are set to bring their virtuoso vocal talents to Hull City Hall.


The group will be performing all their classic hits from the last six decades including Saturday Night at the  Movies, Come on Over to My Place, Stand By Me, and Under the Boardwalk  on Saturday 6 June, 2020.  


The new tour comes after the phenomenal success of their 65th anniversary tour in 2018, further sell-out shows in 2019 and their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.


The Drifters, who are listed among the greatest artists of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, were created in 1953 by George Treadwell and Clyde McPhatter and they brought in several greats thereafter such as Johnny Moore and Ben E King.

June 20 The Drifters



Hull legends Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott are heading to the Bonus Arena, Hull for two nights next April!

Performing songs from their two top 5 albums and classic tracks from The Beautiful South and The Housemartins, this will be their first headline shows at the arena on 21st and 22nd April 2020.


After a string of top 40 singles, including ‘Caravan of Love’ and ‘Happy Hour’, The Housemartins split in 1988, with Paul going on to form The Beautiful South. Jacqui joined The Beautiful South in the mid-90s, singing alongside Paul on some of the group’s biggest hits, including ‘Rotterdam’ and ‘Don’t Marry Her’.

Time to tempt those musical taste buds it’s about to get super spicy when Wannabe – The Spice Girls Show comes to Hull City Hall next year.


Inspired by chart-topping group The Spice Girls, the theatre production will bring their own brand of ‘Girl Power’ to the venue on 7 May, 2020.


Wannabe turns back the clock more than 20 years to when Sporty, Scary, Ginger, Baby and Posh burst onto the pop scene. The show follows the five spices’ glittering careers from their first Number 1 single in 1996 to the reunion performance at the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony.


It features classic costumes, unique vocal and musical arrangements, iconic dance

BBC TV judge Craig Revel Horwood has swapped the bench for the director’s chair to oversee the production of Strictly Ballroom the Musical, which foxtrots into Hull New Theatre next year.


Based on the award-winning worldwide film phenomenon, the production will waltz onto the stage from 12 to 17 October, 2020.


The cast of more than 20 world-class performers will be under the direction of dancer, choreographer, theatre director and one of Britain’s favourite TV judges, Craig Revel Horwood.


Strictly Ballroom the Musical follows the arrogant, rebellious young ballroom dancer, Scott Hastings. When his radical and daring dance style sees him fall out of favour with the Australian Federation, he must dance with beginner, Fran.


Together they find the courage to defy tradition and discover medal-winning moves.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood is set to waltz onto the stage at Hull City Hall next year as part of his debut solo tour.


The director, choreographer and star of the BBC 1 show will bring The All Balls And Glitter Tour to the venue on 27 June, 2020.


Join Craig as he talks about his ‘A-ma-Zing’ journey from Australia to the West End to Strictly. During the evening he reveals a wealth of backstage gossip with his trademark wit and candour, and gives a very special performance of some of the music, which has been the soundtrack to his life on stage.


His career has taken him from the chorus line in his native home down under to the Champs-Élysées in Paris to starring roles in productions including Cats, Miss Saigon and Crazy for You, before concentrating on producing and directing.


The evening will be full of stories, songs and entertainment. It will be far from a Disaaaaaaster.
