It’s his 16th touring show and follows on from his extended, sell-out Australian, UK and European tours of his critically acclaimed 2016/17 show, Brain Dump. On what to expect from his new show, Ross said: “Expect the unexpected. Unless you’ve seen me before. Then you know what to expect. But I might not do that. But then again, I might. Benidorm Live!  Stage show of hit ITV comedy at Hull New Theatre 8th October - 13th October 2018


Hull writer and actor Derren Litten is bringing the first ever stage version of his smash hit ITV comedy Benidorm to Hull New Theatre next year.


Litten has written an all new set of Alicante escapades for the much-loved cast members, including Jake Canuso (Mateo), Janine Duvitski (Jacqueline), Adam Gillen (Liam), Sherrie Hewson (Joyce Temple-Savage), Shelley Longworth (Sam), and Tony Maudsley (Kenneth) as they swap sangria for the stage next year after a quick spruce at the Blow ‘n’ Go!  Benidorm Live! will be the stage debut production of the hugely popular TV show. On making its transfer from stage to screen, Litten said: “I’ve loved ten years of writing my TV show Benidorm but despite a successful writing career I’m first and foremost a performer so have always been secretly frustrated I couldn't hear the audience’s laughter.



Critically acclaimed, Benidorm has received two National Television Awards a TV Quick Award and nominations at the British Comedy Awards and BAFTAs. It celebrates a decade of all-inclusive hilarity, having followed the ensemble cast of holiday makers and staff for nine series since it first broadcast in 2007. Season 10 is due to broadcast early 2018.

Reliving the Sounds of Fury - City Hall show celebrates the musical career of 50’s rock ’n’ roll favourite Billy Fury on Wed 10th October


Thirty Five years after singer Billy Fury died, his loyal backing band The Tornados take to the road once more with Halfway to Paradise: The Billy Fury Story, stopping off at Hull City Hall this October along the way.

Billy Fury shot to fame in 1959 when his own composition Maybe Tomorrow scored him a top 20 hit shortly after being discovered by Larry Parnes and signing to Decca Records.  A string of hit records, films, TV appearances and adoring fans followed, Fury could do no wrong. Sadly his ill health was to cut his career short and on January 28, 1983 Billy Fury died, aged just 42.

Fifty years after Leslie Bricusse’s eccentric Doctor Doolittle became a household name, ‘Our Friend the Doctor’ takes to the stage once more in a new stage adaptation of the beloved film which comes to Hull New Theatre early next year.


Doctor Dolittle tells the story of an unconventional man who can ‘Talk to the Animals’ as he embarks on an extraordinary adventure to find the Giant Pink Sea Snail that holds the secret of life and makes the world a happier place, helped by his human companions and an exotic menagerie of animal friends, including the Pushmi-Pullyu and trusty sidekick Polynesia the parrot.


Produced by Music & Lyrics Limited, the force behind the highly successful recent tours of The Addams Family, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Oklahoma!, Fiddler on the Roof and The King and I, in association with Churchill Theatre Bromley, this new adaptation of the hit musical features stunning visual puppetry, with the book reworked by Leslie Bricusse.

Paul Young Brings Anniversary Concert to Hull on 30th October 2018


80s Icon announces City Hall date as part of UK tour

Thirty Five years since his debut album was released, 80s singer Paul Young is back on tour and heading to Hull City Hall this October.


No Parlez was released in 1983 reaching the top of the album chart and scoring Paul his first UK number one single; a cover of the Marvin Gaye classic Wherever I Lay My Hat. The album, which quickly went triple platinum, also featured the hits Come Back and Stay, Love of The Common People and a cover of Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart.

Originally a member of 1970s band Q-Tips, Paul Young went solo in the eighties and his career took off with No Parlez and further top 10 hits such as Every Time You Go Away and Everything Must Change. He is also a Brit Award winner for Best Male vocalist, sings the opening lines on the original Band Aid Single Feed The World and performed at Live Aid in 1984.

Toots and The Maytals, one of the all-time great reggae, ska and rocksteady groups, will tour the UK in October 2018. The eleven-date tour will start at the O2 Institute Birmingham on Wednesday 10th October and ends on Saturday, 27th October at the Cheese & Grain in Frome.


The Maytals, led by the irrepressible force of nature Frederick ‘Toots’ Hibbert, formed in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1961. The group would go on to bring the reggae sound to the masses with pioneering hits such as ‘Do The Reggay’ (widely acknowledged as the first song ever to feature the word ‘reggae’), ‘Pressure Drop’, ‘54-46 (That's My Number)’, ‘Sweet and Dandy’, ‘Monkey Man’, ‘Funky Kingston’ and ‘Reggae Got Soul’.

After six UK number 1 singles, five UK number 1 albums and 25 years together, the iconic Boyzone will embark on their 25th anniversary and farewell tour which will be heading to Bonus Arena, Hull on 21st & 28th January 2019.


Boyzone have stratified themselves as one of the most endearing groups to emerge from the “boy band” music sphere. Their signature line up consisted of members Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch and the late Stephen Gately.

More than 35 years after This Ole’ House topped the UK singles chart Welsh singer Shakin’ Stevens takes to the road again with his Greatest Hits – And More Tour, stopping off in Hull on 23 March 2019.  


The platinum-selling entertainer and performer will be joined by his band as they take a stroll through his illustrious career, performing much-loved hits such as Oh Julie, Hot Dog and You Drive Me Crazy alongside newer offerings from 2016 release Echoes of Our Times.

Shakin Stevens said: “I’ve been going through my catalogue of songs in preparation for the tour, and re-introducing myself to the many and varied styles of music I’ve recorded during my solo career. From country rock to Cajun, classic rock to Latin, and blues to Americana I’ve had the pleasure of re-discovering the ‘jewels’ from my repertoire that are so well-liked. Of course there’ll be hits and some songs that I haven’t performed live on stage for a decade or two.so some surprises!  I’ve also included well-known songs from other artists whose work I admire, together with album tracks and newer songs, bringing it right up to date!  I can’t wait to get back on the road and to have a great time with the audiences.”
