Stop Right Now And Get Ready To Zig A Zig Ahhhhh - 7th May 2020
Time to tempt those musical taste buds it’s about to get super spicy when Wannabe – The Spice Girls Show comes to Hull City Hall next year.
Inspired by chart-topping group The Spice Girls, the theatre production will bring their own brand of ‘Girl Power’ to the venue on 7 May, 2020.
Wannabe turns back the clock more than 20 years to when Sporty, Scary, Ginger, Baby and Posh burst onto the pop scene. The show follows the five spices’ glittering careers from their first Number 1 single in 1996 to the reunion performance at the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony.
It features classic costumes, unique vocal and musical arrangements, iconic dance
routines and spectacular visual flair. Expect to hear all the favourite hits including: Wannabe, Viva Forever, 2 Become 1, Who Do You Think You Are, Mama and the Girls’ solo singles – from Mel C’s I Turn To You, to the show-stopping It’s Raining Men by Geri Halliwell.
Earlier this year the Spice Girls' Wannabe was named the UK's best-selling single by a girl group, 23 years after it was released, by the Official Charts Company, after selling 1.7m copies since 1996.
Now, the Wannabe girls will recreate the magic more than two decades later.
