Limehouse Lizzy continue to keep the spirit of Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy alive, well and dominating stages worldwide. The band have also added a tribute into their show to ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist (and world renowned solo artist) Gary Moore.
From their Official PRS award, performing for Virgin Atlantic in Barbados, T.V. appearances (BBC 2’s ‘Arena’ amongst others), and to actually being recruited to record and tour by members of the original Thin Lizzy, Limehouse Lizzy enter their 25th year with their most explosive show and critically-acclaimed line-up yet.
Despite international tours (UAE, Germany and previously USA, Scandinavia, Caribbean etc.), corporate clients (Mitsubishi, NatWest) and even book appearances (The Rocker, Send In The Clones), they’ve shoehorned a co-headline tour with tribute giants Livewire into 2018, along with their own stand-alone tour, in what will be an exhausting year-long schedule. ZAL CLEMINSON’S SIN DOGS play WAKEFIELD – Warehouse 23 on Saturday 30th March 2019
Progressive Gears presents Zal Cleminson’s Sin Dogs plus support from Apostles of Chaos, I.T, Quiet Wish and Oceanica.
Ex-SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND / NAZARETH guitarist, and pretty much the template for A-list rock guitarists the world over. This ain’t no heritage ‘once more for old times sake’ trip. ZAL CLEMINSON’S SIN DOGS are HIGH OCTANE ROCK and, yes, this guy is still scary as **** Vambo coming’ to the rescue, Vambo rool OK?
Yeah, Zal Cleminson wrote the book on licks and style, on substance and he’s the Glaswegian dogs bollocks when it comes to those trademarks riffs and wringing a guitar’s neck. And he can write a decent tune or two, and deliver them authentically as well. In a rather interesting twist, Zal selected a few musicians for his band who are part of a Sensational Alex Harvey tribute, The Sensational Alex Harvey Experience. Support comes from Progressive Gear’s roster of talent in Apostles of Chaos, I.T, Quiet Wish and Oceanica.

“This decision has been a long time coming, I’ve considered stepping down at the end of UFO’s previous two tours,” Mogg explains. “I don’t want to call this a farewell tour as I hate that word, but next year’s gigs will represent my final tap-dancing appearances with the band."

THE SMYTHS play WAKEFIELD – Warehouse 23 on Friday 29th March 2019
The Smyths present THE SMITHS 35 A celebration of the debut album (with hits & more). Released on February 20 1984, The Smiths is the debut album by the legendary British band The Smiths. Featuring the classic, breakthrough singles “Hand In Glove” & ‘What Difference Does It Make” (“This Charming Man” did not feature on the original release- later added), the album immediately caused tabloid fury with it’s songs discussing child abuse (“The Hand That Rocks The Cradle” and infamously the Moors Murders (“Suffer Little Children”). Those subjects are of course dealt with beautifully both in terms of lyrical content and musical worth. The album established The Smiths as the pre-eminent independent band of that time, a band unafraid to tackle taboo subjects in a sensitive way and has since gone on to feature in Rolling Stone Magazine’s 100 Best Debut Albums of All Time.
The Smyths will perform a 2 set show in which all of the album’s tracks will be performed alongside a selection of other classic hits and album’s tracks.

THE QUIREBOYS & FM with special guests Bad Touch and Vega play WAKEFIELD – Warehouse 23 on Thursday 4th April 2019
There’s a genuine buzz in the Quireboys’ camp as the veteran rock and rollers ready their most ambitious album to date. “It’s never been black and white where The Quireboys are concerned,” said frontman Spike. “There have always been shades of the blues. And now we’ve got the perfect chance to put a new twist on some old classics.” But why now? After a successful foray into the world of Americana and the release of their most raucous album to date (2016’s Twisted Love), the decision to record a raft of iconic blues tunes might seem like a surprise – almost sideways – move. Far from it.
Released on 30 March 2018, the latest album by FM is ATOMIC GENERATION featuring the lead track “Black Magic” and radio single “Killed By Love”.

JAMES ‘Live After The Races’ DONCASTER – Racecourse show on Saturday 17th August 2019
Following the release of their brand new album ‘ Living In Extraordinary Times’ last year. Extraordinary times call for extraordinary music, James are back with new songs forged in these strangest of days.
The Mancunians returned in 2018 with the ‘Better Than That’ EP and they followed in August with their 15th studio album, aptly titled ‘Living In Extraordinary Times’. Taken together as shot and chaser they prove James to be as vital, visceral and urgent as ever.
James are one of British indie rock’s most celebrated and enduring bands. Formed in 1982 in Whalley Range, Manchester, their debut ‘Jimone’ EP was released in November the following year on Factory Records and made Morrissey and Johnny Marr into early fans. The band went on to produce a string of huge hits during the next three decades, including ‘Come Home’, ‘Sit Down’, ‘She's a Star’ and ‘Laid’.
